I think that Janie is a very gullible to what people say. She believes the old ladies that she would develop feeling for Logan as time goes on however she realizes that she is not happy and she is stuck. As soon as a new guy comes along she believes he will give her hapiness which is not true. She again falls for a guy who is terrible and doesn't let her do anything. She is never satisfied with anything that she does. She has kind of fallen into a trap of what looks good at the start end in tragic and destructive ways. I think that Janie by the end of the story will believe her life is a failure or will find something to be satisfied with. I believe that Janie will come to be satisfied and will find a man who is not a terrible person and let's he do what she wants. Overall I think she believes she doesn't have any control over anything and is forced to listen to others. If she finds she is a single person she will be satisfied with herself.

This Thanksgiving there are a lot of things I am thankful for. I am very thankful for all of the people I share my 6th period English class with. I am thankful for Jan because she has a lot of the answers to questions I don't know and answers them so Mr McCarthy doesn't automatically turn and make eye contact with me causing me to smile and then asking me the question I do not know the answer to. I am thankful for Nayeli because she is a extremely interesting person she is creative and a great writer. I am thankful for Ceci because the different ways you can spell the shortened version of her name and the amount of time it took me to think of the right one to put, I also saw her outside of a haunted house one time. I am thankful for Nathan because he is part of the squad on the side of the class with all dudes and has assisted me in class multiple times. I am thankful for Francesca because even though she was only in the class for about 2 days she brought great enthusiasm and influenced people around her in a positive way. I am thankful for Lauren because even though she is a freshman she is not annoying and is a down to Earth person who is thoughtful and interesting. I am thankful for Maggie because she ok with taking all the blame for eating in the classroom and the reason the school has mice, besides this she is a unselfish and wise woman. I am thankful for Odin because he has a lot of self confidence and believed he could beat me in a fight because he is taller. I am thankful for Owen for the time we spent together when he did sit directly left of me, I still cry at night knowing he has been forced to move a few feet away from me. I am thankful for Brashana because she brings a lot of heart and compassion to the table which gives hope to all those around her. I am thankful for Andrew because he is an imaginative and inventive person and I wouldn't be able to imagine a class without such a man. I am thankful for Emma because of her great taste in music and intelligence. She also keeps Keegan company on our train rides when he talks to much and I don't want to talk to him. I am thankful for Evan because he is young and full of energy and believes he is funny sometimes when fails at attempts to make fun of me but I am still somehow thankful for this human. I am thankful for Lawrie because Lawrie is independent and a leader of all others around. I am thankful for Mr.McCarthy because he is a fantastic teacher and while sometimes a little strange is still a great person and should raise my grade. I am thankful for everyone in the class and happy that you guys are non-judgmental of me and the things I say and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Hemingway
Ernest Hemingway was seen as one of the most influential writers of all time. He created great novels, won awards, and lived his life as extraordinary as possible. As a young boy Hemingway wanted to be as manly as possible due to his mother dressing him as a girl at a young age. He would go hunting with his dad and dress up like a cowboy. His inner boy was unleashed during this time. He would hunt, fish, shoot guns, and try to forgot about what his mother had put him through.
As Hemingway grew older, I believe he tried to hide his past through being daring and adventurous. The first thing he did was go to join the war. He lied about stories of his heroics and life saving efforts when he didn't really do much except get injured.
He also had many wives and a lot of relationships. He was not the most faithful man and always had other relationship besides his wife. It mad me angry every time he got a new wife in the documentary. He go from one, divorce, another, divorce, and keep going.
I think through his whole life he was trying to compensate for what he was treated like when he was little. I think through this his life went up and then on a downhill spiral after all the drinking and partying it was taking a toll on him physically and mentally and it all started with his mother.

6 Word Stories
Young man leaves home, letter returns
Boy goes in, man comes out.
Dirty triple deked him like Datsyuk.
All lost, no possession, pure happiness.
Mind gone, no feeling, just thoughts.
Unknown brother, we will meet someday.

John Proctor: Hero or Stooge?
I believe John Proctor to be a hero in The Crucible. He is a hard working man who has been dragged into the Salem witch situation. He, up to this point has stepped in to save his accused wife who was falsely accused due to people disliking her. There's is no doubting that John Proctor is the innocent man-dime, farm boy hero in this story. By definition a stooge is someone who is used by others. John Proctor does not fit this description. He is not working for anyone, he simply just wants his wife back and the situation to be over. He also wants his past with Abigail to be erased. John Proctor is the hero in this story.

There Goes the Neighborhood
In the perspective of the American Indians when the explorers first arrived on the land, it was probably a lot of shock an awe. They came in on big ships with metal weapons and armor, things the Indians had never seen before. Some were probably afraid of these men but some were probably welcoming because they seemed like more advanced beings than they were. They had wood spikes as weapons and canoes as boats. However, this was likely to have changed after the explorers used the Indians for resources and slaves as they fought back against the explorers who captured and imprisoned them. This was not the way to go however, as the explorers soon followed with a counter attack of their own killing a lot of Indians and taking more as servants. In modern times now two communities coming together bring two new cultures and show what its like in another persons culture. Hardships that may occur would be a clash of which group is better, which has a better religion, better culture, and just difficulty coming together as one.

ME
My name is Erik Glascott and I was born in Chicago. I have a rather large family consisting of a Mom, Dad, and 6 kids. I have twin older brother and sister that are 16 and both attend Lane tech. I am the 3rd oldest in my family. I have a younger brother Ian who is 13, a younger sister Lauren who is 10, and a younger brother Emmett who is 8. The all attend Audubon Elementary which is also my old school. My Dads name is Tim Glascott A.K.A "The Maverick" and my Moms name is Eva. I play a multitude of sports but my main sport is football. I have been playing football my whole life. I have loved football since it was introduced to me at birth by my father who played Semi-Pro football. I had a rubber football when I was little and would sprint through the house in my diaper and only my diaper running and jumping. I have many nicknames. Some include Glascott,Wheels, Iggy/iggs, and Beef. I was a really chubby baby that is why my nickname is Beef. My Family owns a bar called Glascott's in Lincoln Park. I have an extreme fear of needles so getting shots at the doctor is a horrible experience. I would cry up until 7th grade and now I get very afraid and freak out. I enjoy long walks on the beach and expensive cheese. My best friends name is Marcus and he goes to Notre Dame high school. He is on his way to becoming a professional baseball player. My fantasy football team is terrible. I enjoy having fun.
