A Principle to Keep

I think in the world I live in that people should all have sets of principles to live no matter how big or how small. One principle I think is a good one to keep is to surround yourself with people who have good intentions in mind. You should associate yourself with people who you like to be around and like to be around you. This person or these people are ones you can trust and like to hang out with. People who are funny and genuinely care about you as a person. This is for modern day and if there were to be an apocalypse of any kind you need people you can trust and will look out for you and trust that you will look out for them. You should always have friends because they make everything better and life more enjoyable and a principle for every day life is to have friends.

  1. Good intentions to what end? What if your idea of good differs from mine? Could we both be principled?

  2. I believe that during an apocalypse, friendship maybe one thing that cannot be relied on. Sure maybe when life was easy and sweet you could have a fun time with a lot of people, but when the only thing in their mind is to stay alive, I doubt they would have the integrity you are suggesting.

  3. While I think the principle of having good, loyal friends is one to keep, I think that in a post-apocalyptic situation all bets are off. Its hard to know how people will react when terror strikes and for that reason I think that just "good intentions" in a friend is not enough. For me personally if I had to think about my friends I would consider how they react to crisis and their selflessness rather than the intentions they have. Anyone can have good intentions and not act upon them
